Setting up and managing a community development project
Context and rationale
Current social work and community development appear to be strong levers for growth and poverty reduction, and are a priority for humanitarian action.
Setting up and managing community development projects is a lever favoured by social workers and by political representatives, most of them regional, who propose development programmes of all kinds.
Some rural and urban actors have ideas, but many find it hard to formulate them clearly and put them into practice. Justifying a project idea, defining precise and limited objectives, proposing activities suited to the objectives and context, and planning the time and budget needed to carry them out are all decisive stages in developing a project, and they deserve to be explained in a simple and accessible way.
This course will enable you to acquire the technical knowledge and methodological know-how needed to set up and manage a community and humanitarian development project.
