Lean manufacturing

Context and rationale

Improving organisation and operations for greater productivity is a crucial issue for manufacturers. To achieve this, companies turn to the Lean Manufacturing method.

Lean Manufacturing is based on eliminating waste, or Muda, in production processes.

This course provides a hands-on understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques. It covers the tools needed to optimise processes along 8 lines: value, compliance, availability, capacity, flow, pull flow, standard and progress. It completes the vision of a simple system that involves people, is just what is needed and has no waste, built during the Lean Management course.

Training objectives

  • Understanding the fundamental tools of Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office for effective and efficient production
  • Simplifying all activities and fully satisfying customer demand.
  • Reducing manufacturing lead times and increasing your production capacity
  • Optimising your organisation to gain in output and structure
  • Involving everyone in controlling quality and increasing productivity.
